“We have to digest (Florida loss). This one hurt. We’re not going to overlook what happened. But, we’re going to forget about it after today.”

That was LSU head coach Ed Orgeron today addressing the media after LSU’s 19-27 loss to Florida on Saturday. Orgeron recapped the game and looked ahead to hosting No. 2 Georgia in another classic SEC slugfest.

“We’re going to have to mix and match the things that we do on defense to match their personnel the whole game. It’s going to be another chest match,” said Orgeron Monday.

Orgeron said offensive linemen Garrett Brumfield will not be ready to play vs. Georgia. Linebacker Jacob Phillips sat out Saturday’s game with an injury, but Coach O expects him to be back this weekend. Phillips practiced Monday.

LSU’s defensive line didn’t get much pressure on Florida’s Feleipe Franks last week and it won’t get easier with Georgia’s offensive line. “This is the best offensive line that we’ve seen so far,” said Orgeron.

Quote of the Day:

“I try to be the same every week. But, I think this week they’ll probably feel me a little bit more,” said Orgeron.

LSU is currently a 7.5-point underdog at home against Georgia.
